Chief Executive

Operational Leadership

The Chief Executive is a Trustee who oversees the day-to-day operations of TAWC, coordinates all volunteers and their activities, acts as Safeguarding Lead and Data Protection Lead, leads on partnerships with other organisations, and implements Board decisions. The Chief Executive sits between the Board and the Steering Group, providing operational leadership, guidance and accountability.

Our first and current Chief Executive is ER Wilson, who founded TAWC in June 2025 and stepped into the role of Chief Executive in February 2026. ER is proud to facilitate a wonderful community of members and volunteers, and is committed to making Trans Peoples' lives in Cumbria better.

Community Steering Group

The Community Steering Group consists of volunteers who contribute to the operational and strategic direction of TAWC. They advise the organisation on how services and activities are run, lead specific areas of work such as events, social media, and our Discord community, and support planning and decision-making on day-to-day matters. The Steering Group is consulted on significant decisions and carries delegated operational responsibility.
